We will offer the vaccination at no cost via our Health Centers.</p> <p>SUBSIDIARY: The Center for Autism (CFA)</p> <p>PROGRAM: CORE (Creating Opportunities for Relating and Engaging)</p> <p>LOCATION: 2801 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114</p> <p>PROGRAM OVERVIEW:</p> <p>CORE is a center-based program for children aged 2 to 6 years old. The primary goal is to address the core deficits of autism so that each child may improve upon their communication, social interaction, self-regulation, and behaviors. Children participate in predetermined structured activities each day based on the goals defined in their individual treatment plans.</p> <p>The Center for Autism's CORE program utilizes the Early Start Denver Model (EDSM).</p> <p>JOB OVERVIEW:</p> <p>The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for direct therapy with children enrolled in the CORE program. This position reports to a CORE Team Lead (licensed behavior consultant).</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Implement treatment plan goals and intervention strategies with clients using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). </li><li>Collect daily data for clients and enter data into Microsoft Excel. </li><li>Maintain the physical environment to ensure the delivery of clinical interventions and client safety. </li><li>Complete daily progress notes for clients and enter notes into an electronic medical record system. </li><li>Utilize antecedent-based interventions and least-to-most prompting as part of crisis management prevention. </li><li>Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills and fade prompts appropriately to promote independent use of the replacement behaviors. </li><li>Provide crisis management intervention. </li><li>Participate in weekly team meetings. </li><li>Share responsibility for maintaining team meeting documentation. </li><li>Maintain effectiveness in response to various situational demands. </li><li>Demonstrate initiative and responsibility for pursuing therapeutic resources for clients in accordance with The Center for Autism's mission statement. </li><li>Participate in weekly supervision with the CORE Team Lead. </li><li>Complete daily billing information. </li><li>Complete incident/injury reports. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with CredibleBH or other similar electronic medical record applications </li><li>Physical ability to lift children, play on the floor, and run with/after children </li><li>Able to move (repeatedly) from a standing position to a kneeling position and back </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of direct care experience, or one year of supervised practice in lieu of experience</p> <p>PREFERRED EDUCATION: Some college in a field related to applied behavior analysis, psychology, social work, etc.</p> <p>REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Per state regulations, individuals who provide BHT-ABA services must meet one of the following qualifications. Candidates who have not yet completed the indicated trainings are still welcome to apply, as CFA is able to provide certain trainings to staff members.</p> <ul> <li>Have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List (as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA) </li><li>Have 2+ years of experience in providing ABA services and have completed 40+ hours of training related to ABA (approved by DHS or provided by a continuing education provider approved by BACB) </li><li>Have a BCaBA, RBT, BCAT, or other behavior analysis certification from an organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI </li></ul> <p>TRAINING:</p> <p>In accordance with the state, CFA has developed a training plan for all staff. Written plans and annual training requirements are updated annually for each staff person and based on their educational level, experience, job functions, and performance reviews, all in accordance with state regulations.</p> <p>PAY GRADE: 15</p> <p>PHMC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.</p>
