The Yardhand Foreman helps oversee yard maintenance, loading and unloading trucks, product replenishment, order pulling, equipment coordination, and overall yard organization in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Pay: Starting around $20/hour depending on experience.</p> <p>We are looking for someone dependable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable leading others while maintaining a safe, productive, and customer-friendly work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, operating equipment, communicating with managers and team members, and helping keep operations running smoothly.</p> <p>This is a primarily on-site position based in Salt Lake City, UT. Candidates must currently be located in Utah and available to work in-person as needed. American Stone does not provide relocation assistance for this role.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and support the yard crew and daily yard operations </li><li>Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety throughout the yard </li><li>Coordinate product replenishment and communicate restocking needs to management </li><li>Pull customer and delivery orders accurately and efficiently </li><li>Ensure delivery orders are completed and ready on time </li><li>Help load and unload customer vehicles and delivery trucks </li><li>Operate forklifts, loaders, excavators, and other yard equipment </li><li>Communicate with General Managers regarding inventory, yard needs, and operational issues </li><li>Assist customers in locating products and loading materials </li><li>Provide strong customer service throughout the yard environment </li><li>Help oversee truck loading and unloading operations </li><li>Monitor equipment condition and communicate maintenance needs </li><li>Support general yard maintenance, cleanup, and organization </li><li>Assist with inventory movement and material handling </li><li>Help train and support yard employees as needed </li><li>Help maintain workflow efficiency throughout daily operations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience working in a yard, warehouse, construction, landscaping, masonry, production, or similar outdoor environment </li><li>Leadership experience or experience helping supervise a crew/team </li><li>Ability to safely operate forklifts or heavy equipment, or willingness to learn </li><li>Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in different weather conditions </li><li>Strong communication and organization skills </li><li>Dependable and self-motivated work ethic </li><li>Basic computer skills and willingness to learn systems for orders and inventory </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience operating forklifts, loaders, excavators, or similar equipment </li><li>Experience creating purchase orders (POs) or handling inventory/order coordination </li><li>Spanish is a plus </li><li>Experience in stone, landscaping, masonry, construction, or outdoor material environments </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday to Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM</p> <p>Full time.
