At Farm Credit Mid-America we put our customers and team members at the heart of all we do.</p> <p>SCHEDULE: Full Time, Hybrid</p> <p>TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%</p> <p>LOCATION: Possible flexible location, with preference given to within our lending territory (KY, TN, IN, OH, eastern AR)</p> <p>COMPENSATION: $72.38 to $196,028.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.</p> <p>About Our Opportunity</p> <p>The Credit Officer Food and Agribusiness is a member of the credit team supporting Farm Credit Mid-America's commercial and corporate lending initiatives. They are responsible for all credit activities related to this large and complex loan portfolio and will work closely with sales, support, legal, finance, and accounting staff to accomplish team goals. The Credit Officer Food and Agribusiness will also serve as a resource to other staff throughout Farm Credit Mid-America.</p> <p>How You Will Spend Your Time</p> <ul> <li>Leads the analysis of large commercial agribusiness and corporate credits. </li><li>Works with the sales team, internal counsel, customers, and participation partners to structure loans that meet the customer's needs and protect the interests of Farm Credit Mid-America. </li><li>Underwrites and acts on credit actions within delegated authority. </li><li>Analyzes and develops recommendations for credit actions above individual delegated authority. </li><li>Identifies the Probability of Default of assigned accounts and proactively monitors them to maintain accurate loan classification and risk rating. </li><li>Monitors the financial performance and covenant compliance of their assigned portfolio and disseminates information as needed to partners and leadership. </li><li>Supports the loan closing and document review process. </li><li>Accompanies the sales team to meetings with influencers, partners, current or prospective customers, and provides back-up as needed. </li><li>Develops and maintains a professional presence in an assigned industry. </li></ul> <p>The Senior Credit Officer Food and Agribusiness role is designated for team members who not only surpass educational and experience benchmarks but also bring diverse expertise to the table. In addition to the above listed responsibilities, these individuals:</p> <ul> <li>Offer guidance and leadership to peers while consistently delivering high-quality performance in their duties. </li><li>Supports the team and Farm Credit Mid-America by sharing knowledge and expertise through activates such as coaching, training, mentoring, participation on work teams, etc. Proactively identifies solutions and is a role model through positive influence. Champions and supports organizational change. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education & Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in business, agriculture, or related field is required. Plus, at least three years of progressively responsible experience in a credit related role.</p> <p>Mental & Physical Requirements</p> <p>While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
