<p>It's a great time to join the City of Boulder!</p> <p>Application Deadline:</p> <p>August 18, 2025</p> <p>Compensation Details:</p> <p>Full Pay Range</p> <p>23.11 - 33.53</p> <p>Generally, the hiring range is from the minimum up to 80% of the range.This is a part-time hourly position.</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>10</p> <p>Benefit Eligibility Group:</p> <p>Temporary <30</p> <p></p> <p>Locate the Benefit Eligibility Group value on the Employee Benefit Eligibility document to identify the benefits offered for this job.</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>Under direct supervision and as part of the afterschool team providing services on-site at five (5) local elementary schools, the Family Resource Schools (FRS) Program Assistant supports administrative tasks associated with running the FRS Afterschool Program.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Performs administrative tasks related to the student registration process. </li><li>Supports data collection, entry, and maintenance using Excel spreadsheets. </li><li>Maintains accurate and up to date program data. </li><li>Assists with distribution of snacks, collection of attendance, and dismissal. </li><li>Assists with daily setup and teardown tasks and as needed, in support of other afterschool event. </li><li>Communicates with afterschool program instructors and school staff to ensure program runs smoothly and per program requirements. </li><li>Supports student supervision to ensure safe behaviors. </li><li>Provides excellent customer service to school staff and parents, guardians, caretakers seeking information. </li><li>Provides cash handling on occasion. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Ability and availability to work Mondays through Thursdays between 1-6 p.m., mid-August to end of May. </li><li>Ability and desire to work in an elementary school setting. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and city/school staff. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and Google platform. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizes, and resolves problems and manages multiple projects; successfully performs in team-oriented environment. </li><li>Ability to work with a wide range of sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Ability to work with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds in a fair, supportive, and cooperative manner. </li><li>Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Skill and experience working with elementary-aged children. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED. </li><li>Two (2) years' professional experience in customer service, receptionist, and cash handling or any combination. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION</p> <p>Supervision Received: Child Care Subsidy Program Manager</p> <p>Supervision Exercised: None</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Physical and Mental Effort: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities that permits the employee to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person. Sufficient vision or other powers of observation that permits the employee to review, evaluate and prepare a variety of written documents and materials. Sufficient manual dexterity that permits the employee to operate computer equipment and other office equipment. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to work in an office setting. Ability to work under stress from deadlines and public contact. </li><li>Work Environment: Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment. Availability to work in-person Mondays through Thursdays between 1-6 p.m., mid-August to end of May. Must be present within the State of Colorado and be able to work in-person.
