<p>Job Title: Project Manager</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>Reports To: VP for Finance and Chief Financial Officer</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Project Manager provides leadership and coordination for university projects that support institutional goals, improve operations, and enhance campus facilities and services. This position oversees projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with university policies and strategic priorities. The Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, communicates with stakeholders, and ensures that project outcomes meet desired objectives.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan, organize, and manage multiple university projects simultaneously, including administrative, operational, and facilities-related initiatives. </li><li>Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics. </li><li>Coordinate with university departments, external vendors, contractors, and consultants to achieve project deliverables. </li><li>Facilitate meetings, provide status updates, and maintain clear communication among stakeholders. </li><li>Monitor progress and proactively identify risks, delays, or issues; recommend and implement solutions. </li><li>Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for leadership review. </li><li>Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procurement guidelines, and applicable regulations. </li><li>Manage project close-out, including documentation, evaluation, and lessons learned. </li><li>Support strategic planning and process improvement efforts as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Familiarity with higher education operations, facilities planning, or business processes preferred. </li><li>PMP or other project management certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Standard office environment with occasional on-site visits to campus project locations. </li><li>May require limited evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field required. </li><li>Master's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience, preferably in a higher education, government, or nonprofit environment. </li><li>Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects from initiation to completion. </li></ul>
