<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Title: Warehouse Worker</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>The Warehouse Worker position exists in Sodexo Live! venues of varied sizes and within varied lines of</p> <p>business, such as Sports Stadiums, Entertainment Arenas, Convention Centers and Universities. They</p> <p>are responsible for the receiving, unloading, storing and distributing of food product, retail merchandise</p> <p>and other supplies, while maintaining a neat and organized work environment.</p> <p>They will typically operate a forklift, electric cart and other equipment, and will be responsible for strictly</p> <p>adhering to all Sodexo Live! standards and established venue policies for accuracy, sanitation and</p> <p>workplace safety.</p> <p>Responsibilities, Supporting Actions and End-Results:</p> <p>Major Responsibility: Support warehouse operations by performing tasks in the areas of receiving,</p> <p>inventory, delivery and organizing, as directed by Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.</p> <p>Supporting Actions:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate daily priorities and activities with Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. </li><li>Assist with receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to </li></ul> <p>requisitions and distributing requisitions for processing.</p> <ul> <li>Sort and place product and supplies on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined </li></ul> <p>sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.</p> <ul> <li>Accurately read and organize requisitions to determine items to be gathered and distributed. </li><li>Ensure product rotation dates are clearly marked and adhered to; Mark materials with identifying </li></ul> <p>information using appropriate method.</p> <ul> <li>Complete necessary paperwork to document product that is received and/or distributed; Accurate </li></ul> <p>input amounts and items received and distributed and ensure accuracy in transmitting</p> <p>documentation to the corporate office.</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in completion of daily/weekly/monthly physical inventory counts, as directed. </li><li>Set up, transport, test and break down portable food service equipment, as needed. </li><li>Operate forklift, electric cart and other mobile equipment safely and responsibly at all times; </li></ul> <p>Maintain appropriate operating certifications, as necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Assist with cleanliness and organization of warehouse facilities; Remove boxes and recyclables </li></ul> <p>regularly; Ensure that all work areas are kept neat and tidy; Wipe down surfaces, sweep, mop,</p> <p>remove garbage and debris and put supplies and materials in proper place.</p> <ul> <li>Assist with maintenance of equipment, as needed; Ensure all equipment and appliances are </li></ul> <p>operated in a correct and safe manner, and according to manufacturer specifications.</p> <ul> <li>Continually observe surroundings and monitor storage areas to ensure they are properly attended </li></ul> <p>to; Immediately alert Security of any suspicious activity.</p> <ul> <li>Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time. </li></ul> <p>2</p> <p>Job Qualifications/Skills</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>1 year experience in a food service/operations/warehousing environment preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions. </li><li>Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned </li></ul> <p>tasks.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work well independently. </li><li>Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment. </li><li>Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and </li></ul> <p>division.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who </li></ul> <p>typically visit the work location.</p> <ul> <li>Technology aptitude for data input and working with automated inventory system. </li><li>Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, </li></ul> <p>weekends and holidays.</p> <ul> <li>Must have valid driver's license and certification for use of Cushman cart or forklift. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <p>Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length and have</p> <p>the ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests</p> <p>and other employees.
