Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding, lifelong career at Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.</p> <p>A PT caregiver in this position works varying shifts, from 8:00am-4:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.</p> </li><li> <p>Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills are essential to provide excellent care to patients and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist. </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
