Also, the lead MA acts as a liaison between management and staff.</p> <p>Pay Range: 24.39-32.83 an hour based on experience and generous shift differentials</p> <p>Onsite Parking at the Facility</p> <p>Career Growth: Exposure to our various outpatient offices on the South Shore</p> <p>Medical, Dental & Vision insurance: Starts day 1</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ol> <li> <p>Demonstrates competency and professional responsibility in the medical assistant role</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with personnel policies</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with weekly MA schedules, reorganize as needed on a daily basis for call outs</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in yearly evaluations (gives feedback, helps with chart reviews)</p> </li><li> <p>Precepts new employees</p> </li><li> <p>Review and explain new workflows to all MA staff (continue to monitor staff on newly implemented workflows/policies)</p> </li><li> <p>Bring issues, questions, or concerns to nursing supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Attends 75% of scheduled staff meetings, including super user, DM/HTN and others as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Attends workflow meetings as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Performs 3-5 quarterly chart reviews on each MA</p> </li><li> <p>Manages daily MA scheduled related to sick calls or rearrangements as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Holds monthly MA meeting to inform of policy/workflow changes and updates</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates new hire training for Glooko; CGMs; autoclave and sonic; floor duties and how to perform them</p> </li></ol> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Minimum Education - Preferred</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Completion of certified medical assistant program preferred</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <p>Minimum 1-2 years as a Medical Assistant</p> <p>Required License/Certifications</p> <p>BLS - Basic Life Support</p> <p>Medical Assistant Certification preferred</p> <p>Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.</p> <p>Knowledge of common safety hazards and precaution to establish safe work environment.</p> <p>Skilled in assisting with a variety of treatments and medications as directed.</p> <p>Skilled in taking vital signs.</p> <p>Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and English grammar.</p> <p>Excellent keyboard and computer skills, including electronic medical records, patient registration/billing system.</p> <p>Excellent organizational skills.</p> <p>Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical and other staff.</p> <p>Ability to maintain quality control standards.</p> <p>Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.</p> <p>Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.</p> <p>Ability to communicate clearly.</p> <p>Able to both lead and take direction.</p> <p>Mon - Fri days, one weekend shift per month, one holiday per year, one flu clinic each fall</p> <p>Responsibilities if Required:</p> <p>Education if Required:</p> <p>License/Registration/Certification Requirements:</p> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH), INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)</p>
