<p>John Ball Zoo</p> <p>Campaign Major Gifts Officer</p> <p>Campaign Major Gifts Officer</p> <p>The Campaign Major Gifts Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors in support of the Rising to New Heights Campaign at John Ball Zoo and for maintaining major gifts fundraising momentum following the campaign. This position manages a portfolio of prospects and donors and works closely with the Vice President of Development, campaign leadership, board members, volunteers, and consultants to achieve ambitious fundraising goals aligned with the Zoo's strategic priorities.</p> <p>This position's pay range: $75,140 - $88,400</p> <p>A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE CAMPAIGN MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER</p> <p>The Campaign Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and managing a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors-including individuals, corporations, and foundations-with a focus on securing five- and six-figure gifts and above. They will develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to effectively move donors through the major gifts pipeline, securing support for the Rising to New Heights Campaign and sustaining fundraising momentum beyond the campaign.</p> <p>The Campaign Major Gifts Officer will also plan and implement multi-year major gift strategies and annual fundraising plans aligned with campaign and organizational goals, and will prepare comprehensive solicitation strategies, proposals, and briefing materials in collaboration with the Vice President of Development, campaign leadership, and consultants. They will conduct face-to-face donor meetings, tours, and engagement experiences to strengthen relationships and deepen donors' connections to the Zoo's mission and priorities. Working closely with board members, the campaign cabinet, senior leadership, and consultants, this position will support donor engagement and solicitation efforts.</p> <p>Additionally, the Campaign Major Gifts Officer will ensure timely and meaningful stewardship of major donors through acknowledgements, impact reporting, recognition, and ongoing engagement; will maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and documentation in the database; and will collaborate with the broader Development team to align major gifts activity with planned giving, grants, and overall campaign initiatives.</p> <p>Who We Are:</p> <p>At John Ball Zoo, our mission is to inspire our community to be actively engaged in the conservation of wildlife and our natural environment.
