<p>Job Title Outdoor Pursuits: Office Attendant Fall 2026 Department Campus Recreation Office Job Description/Duties</p> <p>Fall 2025 Outdoor Pursuits Staff Attendants (SA1)</p> <p>Positions Available:</p> <ol> <li>Outdoor Pursuits Office Attendant </li></ol> <p>Job duties: General duties/responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide good customer service - be attentive, friendly and helpful </li><li>Be knowledgeable about the SLC & Outdoor Pursuits facilities and program offerings to be able to confidently provide information to patrons </li><li>Enforce Student Life Center & Outdoor Pursuits policies and procedures in a consistent manner </li><li>Adhere to the department dress code (polo, athletic wear, etc.) </li><li>Always carry radio and use it for work purposes and in a professional manner </li><li>Be prepared to respond to emergencies/incidents Address/report problems that you see/encounter to the Building Manager on duty </li><li>Arrive on time and only leave when your shift is over </li><li>Follow proper procedure to find coverage when unable to attend a scheduled shift </li><li>Submit payroll in a timely manner </li><li>In the case of emergency, communicate with Graduate Assistant/Assistant Director </li><li>Must attend required trainings and meetings throughout the semester </li><li>Must be willing to work early morning, late night, and weekend shifts </li><li>Complete other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Description: Outdoor Pursuits Office Attendant</p> <ul> <li>Assist in registrations for Outdoor Pursuits events </li><li>Assist in gear rentals </li><li>Assist in gear usage demonstrations </li><li>Maintain work area and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness </li><li>Identify and address undesirable or unsafe behavior </li><li>Inform supervisor of any customer or safety issues </li><li>Implement emergency procedures and provide CPR as needed </li><li>Successfully complete staff training </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <ul> <li>Priority given to those available 2-6pm M-F </li></ul> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Student Life Center</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current SUNY Cortland student. </li><li>Must hold certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or be willing to become certified within 30 days of hire </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Have prior experience with Suny Cortland Outdoor Pursuits.</p> <p>Physical Demands Special Conditions for Eligibility Contact Name(s) & Email(s)</p> <p>andrew.abrams02@cortland.edu</p> <p>Salary Grade A-$16.00/hr.
