<p>Full-Time Youth Program Coordinator</p> <p>Northern Star Scouting | Starting at $39,500/year DOQ | Nonexempt</p> <p>Northern Star Scouting is seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to deliver Scouting programs to youth throughout the Twin Cities metro area. This position offers valuable experience in youth development, teaching, leadership, and interpersonal communication. Prior Scouting experience is not required.</p> <p>Position Overview The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for leading two types of Scouting programs:</p> <ul> <li>In-School & Recreation Center Programs - Serving youth in urban communities. </li><li>Special Needs Programs - Serving children and adults with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities. </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time, nonexempt position with a starting annual wage of $39,500 DOQ. The position includes mileage reimbursement, paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, salary continuance, long-term disability, and a retirement plan with employer match.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver Scouting programs at partner schools, recreation centers, and other community locations. </li><li>Deliver Scouting programs to youth and young adults with special needs and disabilities at day centers and partner schools. </li><li>Create fun and engaging lesson plans using established Scouting curriculum. </li><li>Plan, develop, and lead educational, age-appropriate lesson and activities. </li><li>Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports teamwork, leadership, and confidence-building. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Age 18 or older. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Experience working with youth ages 7-16 in education, youth development, recreation, social services, or after-school/community programs. </li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Some college coursework. </li><li>Experience working with individuals with special needs and disabilities. </li><li>Experience with Scouting or other youth organizations (preferred, not required). </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Northern Star Scouting is an Equal Opportunity and Veteran-Friendly Employer.</p>
