<p>Position Details</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Title Assistant Professor of Computer Science Department Mathematics, Physics, & Comput Position Category Faculty Job Description</p> <p>Applications are being accepted for a new full-time Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU). The position in the Department of Mathematics, Physics, & Computer Science serves the undergraduate program on the Harrogate, TN campus nestled in the unique Cumberland Gap region where Tennessee meets Kentucky and Virginia. The successful candidate will hold a terminal degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related field and will contribute to teaching a variety of computer science courses. Possible areas include artificial intelligence, network security, software engineering, or other topics aligned with departmental priorities and the candidate's expertise. This position primarily involves teaching computer science courses (approximately 80% of the role) and includes contributions to scholarship and service that support the missions of the University, College, and Department, with opportunities to mentor undergraduate research based on individual interests. To ensure a smooth transition into our academic community, the successful candidate will participate in LMU's New Faculty Academy.
