The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses. </li><li>The Ultrasound Technologist supports patient care by performing quality ultrasound procedures. </li><li>Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan. </li><li>Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis. </li><li>Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment. </li><li>Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality, and exposure, and transmit to PACS. </li><li>Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners during interventional ultrasound procedures. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).</p> </li><li> <p>If registry eligible upon hire, the technologist must become registered within one year of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Must maintain registry during employment.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>One year or more of Ultrasound Tech experience. </li></ul>
