<p>Title: Adjunct Faculty-Chemistry</p> <p>Employee Classification: Faculty</p> <p>Institution: Roane State Community College</p> <p>Department: Math Science</p> <p>Campus Location: Roane State Community College</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Emphasis will be placed on teaching students in on-ground lecture and laboratory courses.</p> <ul> <li>CHEM 1010/1020 - Introductory Chemistry I & II with laboratory </li><li>CHEM 1110/1120 - General Chemistry I & II with laboratory </li><li>CHEM 2010/2020 - Organic Chemistry I & II with laboratory </li></ul> <p>Chemistry courses are offered at the following campuses: Oak Ridge, Roane, Cumberland, and Campbell county.</p> <p>Teaching loads may include day or evening hours and/or satellite campuses.</p> <p>Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume and an unofficial copy of relevant transcripts. Candidates qualifying to teach Organic Chemistry lectures must have graduate coursework in organic chemistry.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Previous experience teaching lecture and laboratories is desired.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.</p> <p>Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.</p> <p>Candidates who are contacted for an interview must notify Human Resources in writing of any reasonable accommodation needed prior to the date of the interview.</p> <p>Offer of employment contingent upon successful background check.</p>
