<p>What you will be doing</p> <p>The Software Engineer shall be responsible for the full lifecycle development, deployment, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of a mission-critical Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) system operating in a large-scale Linux environment. This role requires a strong foundation in backend development, Linux systems, and operational sustainment best practices.</p> <p>What you will need</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Linux system administration, CLI, and Bash scripting </li><li>Recent software development experience using Python and Java </li><li>Experience with end-to-end data handling, including parsing, integration, and distributed processing using Apache NiFi for real-time and batch data workflows </li><li>Experience developing Messaging Frameworks such as ITX (ActiveMQ) </li><li>Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI </li><li>Experience with metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana </li><li>Experience with structured and semi-structured data formats, including JSON, XML, CSV, TCLD, ASDF, and Parquet, for data parsing and transformation tasks </li><li>Experience with Git for source code management </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools including Confluence and Jira </li><li>Experience with Big Data streaming platforms including Spark </li><li>Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, and containerd </li><li>Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes or Docker Compose orchestration </li></ul> <p>SWE-4 Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.</p> <p>Clearance:</p> <p>Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role</p> <p>Salary range:</p> <p>$144,251.00 - $271,085.00 (Annually)*</p> <p>Req ID PRX 25-707</p>
