Tampa, FL, with the ability to work onsite four days a week to collaborate and drive outcomes with our teams.</p> <p>We are looking for someone who has:</p> <p>Snowflake Data Architecture Design:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions on the Snowflake cloud platform to support business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives. </li><li>Develop efficient, scalable, and highly available Snowflake solutions, including data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), databases, schemas, and table structures. </li><li>Optimize Snowflake's virtual warehouses for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability based on workload demands. </li></ul> <p>Data Warehousing and Modeling:</p> <ul> <li>Create data models (star, snowflake schemas) and data marts that support complex queries, reporting, and analytics. </li><li>Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data within Snowflake from various sources (e.g., relational databases, APIs, cloud storage). </li><li>Implement best practices for Snowflake's shared-data architecture, micro-partitioning, and performance tuning. </li></ul> <p>Data Integration and Pipelines:</p> <ul> <li>Design and build data integration workflows using Snowflake's SQL, Snowpipe, and other third-party ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Matillion, DBT). </li><li>Integrate Snowflake with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data sources, including real-time data streams, batch processing, and external tables. </li><li>Implement and maintain automation frameworks for data pipelines, including handling real-time data processing with tools like Apache Kafka, StreamSets, or Airflow. </li></ul> <p>Performance Optimization:</p> <ul> <li>Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize Snowflake's performance, including query optimization, storage, compute costs, and concurrency handling. </li><li>Implement strategies like clustering keys, data partitioning, and pruning to enhance query performance. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to Snowflake environments. </li></ul> <p>Data Security and Governance:</p> <ul> <li>Design and enforce security policies for Snowflake, including data encryption, access control, and data masking to ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations. </li><li>Implement Snowflake's role-based access controls (RBAC), secure views, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect sensitive data. </li><li>Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data across the Snowflake platform, implementing versioning, data lineage, and auditing processes. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to understand data needs and translate them into scalable Snowflake solutions. </li><li>Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure that Snowflake deployments are efficient, automated, and compliant with CI/CD best practices. </li><li>Partner with business stakeholders to design and optimize data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning, and operational workflows. </li></ul> <p>Documentation and Best Practices:</p> <ul> <li>Develop comprehensive documentation for Snowflake data models, architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and security configurations. </li><li>Define and maintain best practices for Snowflake usage across the organization, including coding standards, deployment strategies, and data lifecycle management. </li></ul> <p>Cloud and Big Data Integration:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement data solutions that integrate Snowflake with other cloud-native services like AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage. </li><li>Ensure seamless data flow between Snowflake and big data tools like Spark, Hadoop, and data lakes for processing large-scale data. </li></ul> <p>What Makes You a Perfect Fit?</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Snowflake. </li><li>Strong expertise in cloud data platforms and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). </li><li>Proven experience in designing and optimizing data models, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including virtual warehouses, micro-partitioning, time travel, and data sharing. </li><li>Proficiency in SQL, and experience with performance tuning in Snowflake. </li><li>Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools like DBT, Informatica, Matillion, or Talend. </li><li>Hands-on experience with data security best practices (RBAC, encryption, data masking) in Snowflake. </li><li>Knowledge of cloud services like AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda), Azure, or Google Cloud, with strong understanding of how Snowflake integrates with these services. </li><li>Experience with big data processing tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Snowflake Certification: Snowflake Data Engineer or SnowPro certification. </li><li>Experience with real-time data ingestion using Kafka, StreamSets, or similar technologies. </li><li>Experience with data lake architectures
