<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Department of Mathematics at Norwich University invites dynamic faculty to apply for positions as a lecturer beginning as soon as possible.</p> <p>The successful candidate for a lecturer position will teach 30 contact hours for the academic year (approximately 15 contact hours per semester). Teaching assignments may include preparatory mathematics, general education mathematics, introductory statistics, or the calculus sequence, with the possibility of teaching other course offerings. See the Norwich University Course Catalog for more details and course descriptions. Please address your teaching philosophy in your cover letter.</p> <p>Lecturers are typically appointed on a yearly basis and may or may not be renewed. These is an in-person position; candidates must be able to teach in-person classes on the Norwich Campus in Northfield, VT</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Mathematics Education.</p> <p>Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to teach mathematics courses at multiple levels. Such experience should include some of: developmental mathematics and algebra, elementary statistics, precalculus, calculus, or general education mathematics classes.</p> <p>Successful candidates will have a passion for bringing excellent teaching into the classroom and will be able to engage our undergraduates in the discovery of mathematics.
