These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Manage employees performing collection and billing functions. </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for collections and billing functions. </li><li>Handle customer service calls escalated from clerical level. </li><li>Verify daily cashier reports, proof calculations and data entry and reconcile deposits. </li><li>Prepare deposits for Police car service pickup to be deposited at the City's bank. </li><li>Review and/or process adjustments to utility billing or miscellaneous receivable accounts. </li><li>Oversee liquor and business license issuance and renewals ensuring compliance with City Ordinances. </li><li>Calculate, bill and collect special taxes or assessments and maintain records. </li><li>Prepare reports for audit and financial statements as needed. </li><li>Provide information to city personnel or outside parties as requested. </li><li>Maintain records with outside collection agencies. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Training and Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent, some accounting coursework or experience is preferred. </li><li>Two years supervisory experience in a customer service environment. </li><li>Previous experience with direct public contact. </li><li>Basic understanding of computer systems, email, spreadsheet & word processing software. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>The office environment is typical with no unusual requirements.
