Come join us on our journey!</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You successfully submitted your application!</p> <p>Step 2: Amazon Recruiting will review your application and invite the most qualified candidate to complete a pre-employment assessment.</p> <p>Step 3: If you meet the role qualifications, you will receive an invitation from Amazon Recruiting (do-not-reply@criteriacorp.com) to begin your Criteria assessment. You have 5 days to complete.</p> <p>Step 4: Once you successfully meet the pre-employment assessment requirements, you will be invited to complete a video interview. Your video interview invitation will be from HireVue (interviews@hirevue.com) and you will have 7 days to record your interview.</p> <p>Step 5: Your video interview will be reviewed by the Amazon Hiring Team and you will be notified of next steps via email within 5 business days.</p> <p>Key job responsibilities</p> <p>Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>You will promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures</p> <p>You will complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation</p> <p>You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more</p> <p>You will maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility - You must be able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and without limitation, as well as perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head</p> <p>Please note that while we strive to accommodate employees' preferences for shift assignments, due to operational requirements and scheduling constraints, we cannot guarantee a specific shift assignment.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school or equivalent diploma </li><li>1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience </li><li>Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays </li><li>2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience </li><li>2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience </li><li>2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience </li><li>1+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience </li><li>certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with robotic operation and maintenance </li><li>Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory </li><li>Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field </li><li>2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field </li><li>2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles </li></ul> <p>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.</p> <p>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. For salaried roles, your Amazon package will include listed sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
