<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>In the Emergency Department (ED) at Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurses (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Engaging in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department ED nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.</p> </li><li> <p>Applying critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduation from an accredited nursing school</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN License in Connecticut</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS & TNCC certification required within three months of hire</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Part Time -24hrs/Days</p> </li><li> <p>Every other Weekend/Holiday</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
