<p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Baylor University is seeking an Administrative Manager to support the mission and vision of the University within the Department of Art and Art History. Under the general supervision of the Department's Chair, the Administrative Manager, is responsible for providing a full range of confidential secretarial and administrative support, and to ensure the efficient operations of the Chair's office. This includes, but is not limited to, academic processes for faculty and staff searches, annual performance reviews, pre-tenure, faculty promotions, August check-ins, faculty meetings (individual/monthly), and managing all aspects of an intensive appointment schedule.</p> <p>An Associate's Degree and three years of relevant work experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.</p> <p>Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li>Display expertise and contributions to the advancement of the Department of Art & Art History's goals, while committing to a work-life balance among the staff </li><li>Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Chair including managing an extremely fluid calendar; maintaining daily event files; preparing email correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans; itineraries; agendas; compiling documents for travel-related meetings </li><li>Providing a bridge of smooth communication between the Chair's Office and internal areas, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support in the department </li><li>Working closely and effectively with the Chair to keep them well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, with appropriate follow-up </li><li>Managing the Chair's academic memberships </li><li>PCard purchases, hotel bookings, flight bookings, reimbursements of incidentals for candidates </li><li>Submitting Personnel Action Form (PAFs), Mileage, Supplemental Pay for Temp Faculty </li><li>Creating avenues for generating funds for the department </li><li>Implementing and reviewing work orders/ door scheduling/ facilities maintenance </li><li>Coordinating the tenure, promotion, continuing and seasonal lecturer review processes </li><li>Determining logistical details and activities for event and/or programming </li><li>Implementing plans and process improvements for academic search activities </li><li>Recruiting & Marketing Events & paraphernalia giveaways </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission </li><li>Ability to comply with university policies </li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance </li></ul> <p>What You Can Expect</p> <p>As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
