To this end, Honda strives to realize "the joy and freedom of mobility" by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a "zero environmental footprint."</p> <p>We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team.</p> <p>If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!</p> <p>About this Position:</p> <p>Die Service Technician supporting equipment / die downtime and developing equipment / die improvement projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Support equipment/die downtime in a dynamic fast-paced environment. </li><li>Develop and support equipment / die improvement projects. </li><li>Support weekend and shutdown equipment / die issues. </li><li>Support training of other equipment/die associates. </li><li>Support the engineering group in short/long term projects. </li><li>Support machine checks, preventative maintenance duties, line troubleshooting and reporting of problems and repairs. </li></ul> <p>Daily Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Work on daily activities as assigned by the Team Leader. </li><li>Respond to equipment / die downtime and recovery issues. </li><li>Monitor equipment / die for potential problems identification. </li><li>Perform quality & running efficiency improvements to the dies. </li><li>Perform scheduled preventative maintenance plans & activities. </li><li>Maintain COP of work area and department issued tools. </li><li>Observe and promote all department safety policies. </li><li>Quality confirmation of completed work. </li><li>Perform zone inspections. </li><li>Perform all phases of equipment troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems. </li></ul> <p>Who we are seeking:</p> <p>Required Work Experience:</p> <p>Experience in the mechanical and/or die mold maintenance field (including Co-op experience).</p> <p>Required Education:</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Desired skills:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing environment </li><li>Casting Department - Typically hot and moderately dirty </li><li>5-10 Hours OT / Week, including weekends and shutdown </li><li>1-week domestic travel potential per year for training </li><li>Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift long term. </li></ul> <p>Additional Position Factors:</p> <ul> <li>Workstyle: Onsite </li><li>Travel: 5% </li></ul> <p>At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
