Every colleague plays a key role in upholding this promise to our patients and their families.</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>First Shift (United States of America)</p> <p>Responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with utility plant and distribution system serving the Nebraska Medicine/UNMC campus. Starts, operates, and shuts down boilers and their auxiliaries, chillers and auxiliaries, generators and auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room. Responsible for the for the operation and monitoring of the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system serving the Nebraska Medicine/UNMC campus. Performs preventative and routine maintenance as assigned.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School education or equivalent required. </li><li>Minimum two years experience in operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers and related equipment to include fundamental knowledge of industrial plant chilled water, steam, and electrical systems required. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate industrial or commercial control systems required. </li><li>Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings and layouts required. </li><li>Demonstrated mechanical and operational aptitude required. </li><li>Valid motor vehicle operator's license required. </li><li>A valid City of Omaha 3rd, 2nd, or 1st Grade Stationary Engineer license required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Relevant coursework/specialized training preferred. </li><li>Technical school, trade school, community college, apprenticeship program, and/correlated education program preferred. </li><li>Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook preferred. </li></ul> <p>Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
