<p>Job Opening: Lab Technician at a Reputable Laboratory in Willimantic, CT!</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are looking for a committed Lab Technician to become an integral part of our esteemed laboratory team in Willimantic, CT. In this position, you will be tasked with the sterilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment, while ensuring a clean and productive work environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment. </li><li>Sterilize and dispose of used materials (e.g., eggs, culture tubes, waste). </li><li>Clean, sterilize, and prepare labware for use according to production requirements. </li><li>Operate autoclaves per the labware usage schedule and specific client needs. </li><li>Oversee the rotation, disposal, and replacement of plastic laboratory supplies. </li><li>Prepare daily detergent and disinfectant solutions based on equipment requirements. </li><li>Supervise and mentor lab technicians assisting with cleaning and sterilization duties. </li><li>Handle laboratory laundry, including washing and folding. </li><li>Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of autoclaves and other lab equipment. </li><li>Maintain logs for kitchen equipment. </li><li>Carry out general housekeeping duties in laboratory facilities when necessary. </li><li>Perform additional related tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive hourly wage between $18.00 and $21.00. </li><li>Eligibility for certain benefits may depend on job classification and duration of employment.
