We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.</p> <p>Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.</p> <p>We are seeking a full-time, 37.5-hour per week Clinic/Practice Assistant to work 3, 12.5-hour shifts per week onsite at our Urgent Care center located at 1285 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 2 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.</p> <p>We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however, for on-call shifts, employees must be able to commute to any of our locations, including Boston Common, Brookline, Lynn, Natick, Newton, Westwood, and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).</p> <p>We're committed to delivering the highest level of care with a smile, and we're looking for people like you to help us do so! Responsibilities may include coordination and scheduling, supplies and equipment ordering, meeting minutes, correspondence, Answer and transfer phone calls, prepare spreadsheets and presentations. Manage schedules, coordinate travel, conference calls, payroll and transcription. This is an intermediate-level support role.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare reports, meeting minutes and correspondence. </li><li>Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations. </li><li>Manage schedules, arrange appointments and itineraries. </li><li>Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls, and complete expense reports. </li><li>Answer and transfer phone calls. </li><li>May perform transcription and proofread and edit literature, prepare applications for department. </li><li>Remain knowledgeable of business unit policies. </li><li>May make contacts of a sensitive, complex, and confidential nature. </li><li>Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li><li>Complies with all policies and standards </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent required or</p> <p>Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study preferred</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>2-3 years Administrative Assistant or Secretarial Experience required</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <p>Proficiency with office procedures and equipment i.e. filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.</p> <p>Proficiency in MS Office.</p> <p>Ability to proofread and edit written documents.</p> <p>Ability to use phone system.</p> <p>Managing one's own time and the time of others.</p> <p>Strong verbal & written communication skills.</p> <p>Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills.</p> <p>Ability to use standard office equipment.</p> <p>Familiarity with medical terminology.</p> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>When hiring, we look for candidates who not only possess relevant skills and growth potential, but positive attitudes, flexibility, and creative mindsets.
