<p>As a Powder Coat Assistant, you will be assisting the Powder Coat Technicians.</p> <p>Currently there is an opening for a Powder Coat Assistant in our Panels division on 2nd shift (2:30p - 10:30p.)</p> <p>Panels Powder Coat Assistant: Starting at $23.29 per hour on 2nd Shift!</p> <ul> <li>SIGN ON BONUS* </li></ul> <p>$1200 FOR THIS ROLE ONLY.</p> <p>$100 EVERY 30 DAYS YOU WORK UNTIL YOU REACH $1200.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Start up the paint line and related equipment at the beginning of the shift. </li><li>Measure concentrations of chemical tanks. </li><li>Maintain daily log of chemical concentrations and operating parameters. </li><li>Verify correct quality, color and material to be used. </li><li>Verifies materials against work orders to confirm proper type and quantity. </li><li>Assist staging materials for production. </li><li>Make proper settings for the oven, paint booth and line speed. </li><li>Know what hook to use and how to hang parts for the best finish. </li><li>Clean up scrap, cardboard, and skids. </li><li>Maintain proper levels of materials and supplies in production areas. </li><li>Make disposition of rejected materials. </li><li>Maintain constant communication with the powder coat technician and supervisors in extrusion, doors and shipping. </li><li>Load and unload baskets for dip tank system. </li><li>Move materials to and from powder coat department and ensure that powder material is rotated "FIFO". </li><li>Clean and maintain paint booth, room and surrounding areas. </li><li>Perform daily inspection of equipment for safety and working order and advise supervisor of needed repairs. </li><li>Completes necessary paperwork including DMNs. </li><li>Assist other departments as necessary. </li><li>Read work orders and follow instructions. </li><li>Frequently asks production area if they need help </li><li>Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery </li><li>Participate in improving our product, processes, and equipment and methods </li><li>Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner </li><li>Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. </li><li>Continually looking for ways to improve job efficiency and performance </li><li>Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>One to five years of powder coat experience </li><li>HI LO experience preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Mechanically inclined </li><li>Ability to work overtime </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). </li></ul>
