We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As an Analyst (A) within BCG's Energy (EN) Practice Area (PA), you will work in BCG's Spanish Speaking South America (SSA) team primarily, as well as global team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams, topic/sector leaders & external clients, helping structure and solve complex issues.</p> <p>Our role expectations are:</p> <ul> <li>Getting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office for a duration of couple of months by providing analysis to drive insight into specific client issues </li><li>Managing and processing industry focus analysis requests, and assisting consultants with industry specific problems </li><li>Interacting with local teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver insights to the Energy Practice Area </li><li>Working on content pieces with special focus on Latin American SSA market specific expertise, including industry trends, local and regional competitive landscape, benchmarks, mapping key industry players, amongst others </li><li>Supporting the Energy PA in SSA with content development/synthesis for external engagements (Seat at the table events, newspaper articles, etc.) </li><li>Gatekeeping all content developed in the Energy Practice Area in SSA an organized way, identifying content to be sanitized and published for the wider BCG ecosystem </li></ul> <p>YOU'RE GOOD AT</p> <p>Work with case (and proposal) teams:</p> <ul> <li>Identifying & addressing critical topical knowledge & expertise for cases & solve client problems, with guidance from senior team members, Partners/MDPs & case teams </li><li>Participating in client calls and workshops and eventually co-lead modules leveraging own knowledge, proprietary data assets and deploying specific methodologies </li><li>Providing customized knowledge for client work, prepare accurate, well-developed documents and charts </li><li>Creating reports on new trends highlighting overall impact on SSA Energy sector including energy transition, decarbonization, emergent technologies (renewables, storage, hydrogen) and its strategic impact, understanding of Oil & Gas and electricity value chains (exploration-production, generation- transmission-distribution) along with deep knowledge </li><li>Identifying key performance indicators for players in the energy ecosystem and analyze data to generate insights </li><li>Identifying key topics and opportunities as well as past experience to generate products which can be used in Business Development activities </li><li>Supporting client proposals by compiling data and relevant information, providing research, topic input to the proposal team </li></ul> <p>Work with topic/sector teams:</p> <ul> <li>Owning and driving performance benchmarks for industry and players with guidance of the Energy PA leadership (MDPs and Chief of Staff) </li><li>Promoting innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities - Develop best practice material on various SSA energy topics to be used by teams or shared with clients </li><li>Contributing to building sector/topic/ teams and suggests emerging topic based on client demand & BCG's global work </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree relevant to sector/topic; 1+ year of relevant work experience in sector/topic preferred </li><li>Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 1+ year consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in sector/topic </li><li>Strong understanding of the energy landscape in Latin Americ along with deep knowledge of local players in the industry </li><li>Fluency in English and Spanish </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Ability to synthesize and communicate insights effectively both written (slides) and verbally </li><li>Ability to multi-task & operate effectively, independently, proactively & curiously, in a matrix organization in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment. </li></ul> <p>Who You'll Work With</p> <p>As an Analyst, you will collaborate with topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
