This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact in a child's school experience by promoting independence, learning, and well-being within a supportive educational environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct support to a student throughout the school day, including academic assistance and health-related monitoring or care. </li><li>Collaborate with the classroom teacher, school nurse, and special education staff to implement accommodations, modifications, and health protocols. </li><li>Assist with academic tasks including instruction, assignments, and classroom participation. </li><li>Ensure student safety and access to learning across school settings (classroom, playground, lunchroom, etc.). </li><li>Maintain accurate records and communication logs as required. </li><li>Support the development of the student's independence and self-advocacy skills. </li><li>Participate in relevant training related to the student's medical and educational needs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma; associate's degree or higher preferred. </li><li>Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting strongly preferred. </li><li>Ability to follow health care plans and accommodate medical needs as trained by school personnel or licensed professionals. </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills. </li><li>Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. </li><li>Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and safety procedures. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Position requires physical activity, including assisting with mobility or medical equipment. </li><li>Training will be provided for specific health-related procedures or equipment as needed. </li><li>Daily work within classroom and school environments, supporting transitions throughout the day. </li></ul> <p>For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
