<p>As a Structural Test Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in the testing and validation of structural components and systems for commercial vehicle platforms. You will work closely with our Engineering team to execute tests to validate the structural integrity of our products, and to identify areas for improvement. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of structural mechanics, testing principles, and data analysis. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct structural tests, including static and dynamic testing, to validate product performance </li><li>Conduct non-destructive testing inspections using primarily dye penetrant testing to detect and evaluate cracks and other defects in materials and components </li><li>Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement </li><li>Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment, including data acquisition systems, sensors, and hydraulic systems </li><li>Follow test procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy </li><li>Assist in the setup and execution of tests, including preparing test fixtures and specimens </li><li>Collect and record test data, and perform basic data analysis </li><li>Collaborate with engineers to interpret test results and identify areas for improvement </li><li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test reports and procedures </li><li>Participate in test planning and scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources </li><li>2+ years of experience in structural testing, mechanical testing, or a related field </li><li>Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and testing principles </li><li>Experience with hydraulic systems </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks </li><li>Experience with test equipment and instrumentation, such as load cells, LVDT, potentiometers, and accelerometers </li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASTM and ASME </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a laboratory or test environment </li></ul>
