<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Madison Public Schools / Town of Madison is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic applicant for the position of Director of Administrative Services. This position works jointly for both the school district and Town and provides vision, leadership and strategic direction in all aspects of technology, communications, school security, school transportation and food services. Vacancy Announcement - Director of Administrative Services Position functions include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing oversight for all technology including networks, hardware, software, education technology, telecommunications and various technology systems for the Madison Public Schools and Town of Madison ensuring its reliability and security. </li><li>Developing and implementing a technology plan for the schools that align with the district's educational goals and needs, including a vision for the future of technology in the district. Develops and implements a technology plan for the Town that aligns with governmental goals and needs. </li><li>Managing security technology for school and town buildings including door locking, surveillance and personal alarm locator equipment. Identifying procures, installs and oversees operation of security equipment. Supervising and providing oversight to school security staff. </li><li>Managing operational budget for town/school technology, transportation and food services. Developing long-term capital plans and planned and cycled equipment replacement programs and interfaces with Town and School elected Boards for funding plans. Identifying opportunities for grants and funding to support technology initiatives. </li><li>Providing operational oversight for the school district transportation program including working with outside transportation vendor to assure timely and safe student transportation. </li><li>Providing operational oversight for the district food services program including working with outside food services vendor to assure a healthy, safe and high-quality food services program for students and staff. </li><li>Developing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for technology equipment, services, transportation and food service vendors. Negotiates and develops associated contracts. </li></ul> <p>Please apply online (Dir. Adm Svcs Posting) and complete online application, provide a cover letter and resume along with three (3) signed letters of reference.</p> <p>Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer related field; Masters' Degree in computers, education or business-related field preferred; at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in informational technology; at least three (3) years of supervisory experience of technology staff; experience in education / government preferred; or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.</p> <p>Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 (based upon education and experience)</p> <p>Benefits: Medical & Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability Insurance, Pension fund matching; Paid holidays, sick and vacation leave.</p> <p>The Madison Public Schools is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all qualified persons.
