<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>The Senior Innovation Program Manager will play a critical role in managing and executing intrapreneurship and innovation initiatives across the academic health system. Reporting to the Executive Director of Intrapreneurship and Innovation Culture within the Office of Innovation, this position will focus on driving a culture of innovation and collaboration among care team members, researchers, faculty, staff and students. The Senior Innovation Program Manager will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of programs that encourage and support creative problem-solving, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the development of new ideas that enhance patient care, research, and education.</p> <p>Entity</p> <p>University Medical Associates (UMA) Only Employees and Financials</p> <p>Worker Type</p> <p>Employee</p> <p>Worker Sub-Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Cost Center</p> <p>CC001937 UMA OTHR PAY MUHA Funded Leadership CC</p> <p>Pay Rate Type</p> <p>Salary</p> <p>Pay Grade</p> <p>Health-29</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Program Management and Execution:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the end-to-end process of innovation initiatives, including ideation, evaluation, piloting, and scaling successful projects. </li><li>Manage competitive grant application cycles to provide pilot funding to deserving projects. </li><li>Manage innovation champion programs, such as the Faculty Innovation Fellows, Clinical Innovation Champions, and the Education Innovation Advocates. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Engagement and Support:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with faculty, staff, care team members and students to identify challenges and opportunities for innovation, refine ideas and develop pilot projects. </li><li>Plan and lead events that support innovation in the community and introduce the community to innovation within MUSC. </li></ul> <p>Culture Building and Intrapreneurship:</p> <ul> <li>Promote a culture of intrapreneurship by organizing events, hackathons, and training sessions that inspire research, creative teaching, learning, and clinical workflow redesign. </li><li>Act as a champion for innovation, encouraging faculty and students to propose and pursue new ideas that enhance learning outcomes and engagement. </li></ul> <p>Performance Measurement and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sponsored innovation programs. </li><li>Prepare regular reports and presentations for the Executive Director and other stakeholders, summarizing program outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of experience managing programs and initiatives, preferably within an academic health system, university, or similar setting. </li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, educators, and administrators. </li><li>Proficiency in using innovation tools and methodologies, such as design thinking, lean startup, agile, or other relevant frameworks. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage projects with minimal supervision. </li><li>Grant writing experience preferred. </li><li>Bachelor's degree required.
