<p>Job Title: Coordinator RN,Geriatric</p> <p>Location: MMC Southern Campus</p> <p>Department Name: Geriatric Program</p> <p>Req #: 0000206327</p> <p>Status: Salaried</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $99,424.00 - $123,240.00 per year</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Nurse Coordinator to work in the Develop Innovation & Research Department, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.</p> <p>Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is a fully accredited acute care hospital dedicated to providing the finest medical and health care services to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties. An affiliate of the RWJBarnabas Health system, Monmouth South is a sister hospital to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.</p> <p>Monmouth South is the only hospital in the region to provide private rooms on all of its inpatient units, providing an environment more conducive to healing. Several other enhancements have been made to provide superior service to Lakewood and the surrounding region as well, including the Better Health Senior Membership Program, state-of-the-art Geriatrics Institute, and an expansion of cancer services.</p> <p>Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is conveniently located on Route 9 in Lakewood and is committed to helping patients live their best lives by getting them back to the activities that are most important to them, sooner.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or matriculation in baccalaureate Nursing Degree Program </li><li>Completion of clinical experience in NLN accredited school </li><li>Additional experience required based upon specific department needs </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association </li><li>Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Geriatric National Certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Day shift, Full Time </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>The Nurse Coordinator provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. </li><li>The Nurse Coordinator assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available. </li><li>The RN Coordinator is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. </li><li>The RN is responsible for knowledge of the geriatric patient population served. </li><li>The RN Coordinator is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. </li><li>The RN coordinator is consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. </li><li>The RN coordinator is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient s needs. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!</p> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
