<p>Logistics Planning Specialist:</p> <p>Perform end to end supply chain transportation planning and operational support for multiple manufacturing facilities in North America. Support and lead new technology implementation to support supply chain performance.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Identify and advise business units of optimal solutions for inbound supply chain management. </li><li>Develop transport design based on SCM best cost. Coordinate with Purchasing, Business Planning, Logistics and Production teams for smooth implementation of new supplier start-up, manufacturing location shifts, and new supply chain technology launches. </li><li>Operation analysis to identify areas where the user process(es) and/or systems can be improved. </li><li>Identify best practice systems & jobs from within DENSO or Industry and apply appropriate technology solutions to improve end to end supply chain performance to improve Delivery Metrics. </li><li>Project management: Includes creation of project schedules, test plans, system testing, user training, user manuals and problem reporting for project team and management. This activity can range from large projects that have multi-department project teams to smaller projects that are completely self-directed. </li><li>Transportation planning and design to create low cost/high efficiency transportation routes to improve DENSO Cost. </li><li>Support cross border and international supply chain activities </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. </li><li>2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other relevant supply chain technology. </li><li>Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL) to analyze logistics data and drive decision-making. </li><li>Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and other logistics software. </li><li>Proven experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and optimize transportation/logistics processes. </li><li>Strong understanding of freight management, carrier negotiations, and routing optimization. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset to improve logistics efficiencies. </li><li>Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams in supply chain, operations, and IT. </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and recommendations to leadership. </li><li>Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Periodic travel for on-site vendor relationship building and audits. </li><li>After hours on-call support rotation requirement one out of every 8 weeks. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
