<p>The Human Resource Business Partner for In Lab Services serves as a trusted and strategic Human Resources partner to sector operations leadership, directly supporting workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness. By maintaining strong consultative relationships, participating in leadership discussions, and driving key HR initiatives, the position supports the full employee lifecycle-from talent onboarding and development to compliance, performance management, and workforce planning. With a strong focus on employee engagement, workplace culture, and operational alignment, the role plays a critical part in fostering a safe, legally compliant, and high-performing work environment.</p> <p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:</p> <p>Establish and maintain consultative partnerships with sector operations leadership to influence workforce strategy. Participate in sector leadership meetings to stay informed on current business priorities, operational challenges, and strategic initiatives impacting the workforce. Contribute to the strategic planning and continuous improvement of sector goals and initiatives. Assist in evaluation of reports and decisions. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures. Serve as a strategic HR partner by driving employee development initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, leadership coaching, and building organizational capability to support long-term business growth. Assess training needs and develop appropriate training programs, facilitating training as needed. Advise sector operations leadership, HR leadership, and Legal Department on applicable laws and regulations (federal, state, local), emerging trends or issues impacting operations, workplace culture, and compliance ensuring proactive attention and alignment with organizational standards. Partner with operations management to support disciplinary action processes, including documentation and procedural guidance; coordinate employee terminations by ensuring all required paperwork, final payments, and offboarding activities are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies Facilitate prompt and thorough investigations into employee concerns and complaints - including those submitted via the EthicsPoint Hotline-covering a range of issues such as compliance and workplace conduct, including allegations of harassment, intimidation, retaliation, and discrimination; ensure accurate documentation and case tracking in the designated system. Partner with the HRIS team to maintain accurate employee profiles and generate workforce data reports; identify trends through analysis and recommend actionable strategies to support business objectives. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning and ensure a seamless soft-skill onboarding experience for new hires, aligning processes to promote consistency, engagement, and operational readiness. Partner with the Benefits team to support employee issue resolution related to benefits administration and leave of absence; ensure timely communication, accurate guidance, and coordination of resources to enhance employee experience. Must be visible and openly accessible to employees at all levels within sector to serve as a coach, mentor, and counsel. Partner with Regional Safety and Compliance Manager to enforce a safe workforce, focusing on a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE). Partner with CSQ team on investigations as needed. Prepare employee communications as needed to support a positive work environment. Manage employee paperwork process and files, assuring legal compliance. Perform HR-related compliance audits for sector. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree required in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar; Master's degree preferred. PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification required, SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification a plus. Must have 5 - 8 years of experience in Human Resources - preferably in an HRBP role or similar. Familiarity with California employment laws and regulations is highly desirable. Aerospace and Defense, Oil and Gas or manufacturing industry experience preferred. Prior experience in HR strategy, operations and administration; compliance; performance management; employee development; project management; change management; employee engagement and retention; compensation; and succession planning. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms such as UKG or Dayforce. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional HR teams-including HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and Benefits-to deliver integrated support and solutions aligned with sector-specific business needs. Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-unit environments with competing demands; highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated with strong multitasking and follow-up skills. Must maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor with effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
