<p>Job Title: Physician - Palliative Care</p> <p>Facility: Main Line HealthCare locations system-wide</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Main Line Health is actively recruiting a Palliative Care Physician to join our growing, mission-driven Palliative Care Team serving patients across multiple Main Line Health campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in both community and academic settings while helping bridge the gap between acute and ambulatory palliative services.</p> <p>The selected physician will provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient consultative services, with a strong focus on building an innovative embedded ambulatory model in collaboration with key service lines. This role offers the chance to shape a system-wide expansion of palliative care while working closely with hospitalists, specialists, advanced practice providers, social workers, chaplains, hospice partners, and nursing teams.</p> <p>We are seeking a physician who is:</p> <ul> <li>Agile and adaptable, able to thrive in both inpatient and outpatient environments. </li><li>A critical thinker who can navigate complex systems and contribute to innovative care models. </li><li>A collaborative leader and lifelong learner, committed to program development. </li><li>Passionate about improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of palliative medicine. </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care consults across Main Line Health campuses. </li><li>Support the development of an ambulatory palliative care program in an embedded model. </li><li>Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, APPs, social workers, chaplains, and hospice teams to optimize patient care. </li><li>Participate in teaching opportunities with residents and medical students. </li><li>Advance system-wide quality and strategic initiatives, including reducing length of stay and readmissions, improving mortality, and supporting transitions to hospice when appropriate. </li><li>Contribute to program development, interdisciplinary education, and continuous quality improvement. </li><li>Foster a culture of communication, compassion, and teamwork. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>MD or DO from an accredited institution. </li><li>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. </li><li>Eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license. </li><li>DEA license required. </li><li>Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a matrixed, multi-campus environment. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and a highly collaborative approach. </li></ul> <p>About Us:</p> <p>Main Line Health (MLH) is a not-for-profit health system serving portions of Philadelphia and its western suburbs.
