<p>Description</p> <p>Non - Exempt</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>8</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Work from generally accepted maintenance procedures or special instructions, prints, and diagrams provided by suppliers or supervisors. </li><li>Perform routine and/or scheduled machine maintenance and repairs, including lubrication and greasing, changing oils and filters, and routinely worn parts; repair and/or replace bearings, seals, motors, pumps. </li><li>Install and maintain services for the manufacturing operation. This includes electrical and compressed air connections. </li><li>Repair and rebuild equipment. This includes pumps, compressors, production machinery, benches, hoists and hand truck(s). Involves mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. </li><li>Maintain buildings and grounds. This includes carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and snow removal. Replace HVAC and Humidifier Filters. </li><li>Rearrange plant layout by installing or moving machinery, product testing equipment, assembly tables, etc., as instructed by management. </li><li>Monitor and direct, as needed, the functions of the contract custodial services. </li><li>Responsible for the preventative maintenance (PM) program of all equipment by utilizing computer software and maintaining records of work performed. </li><li>Maintain equipment manual(s) and documentation files. </li><li>Identify and correct any safety hazards that may exist. </li><li>Maintain the maintenance department keeping it organized and clean. </li><li>Provide timely and quality services and support to all internal and external customers. </li><li>Use available safety equipment and observe shop safety procedures. Keep the work area(s) neat and clean. </li><li>Communicates with the supervisor for parts and supplies needed. </li><li>Completes all tasks with high standards of quality and appearance. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Physical Aspects of the Job</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. </li><li>Ability to reach above shoulders. </li><li>Ability to walk forwards and backwards throughout facility. </li><li>Ability to control operation of hand or foot. </li><li>Ability to lift / carry up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to use ladder/step stool. </li><li>Ability to kneel, climb, kneel, and/or squat. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaborate as a strong team member. </li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Excellent attention to detail; be flexible and adaptable to change. </li><li>Strong ability to multitask and meet project deadlines. </li><li>General knowledge of building, facilities, and machine maintenance. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and vendors. </li><li>Ability to follow safety procedures and ensure safe installations. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Listening, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Computer (Microsoft Office) and typing skills. Able to write reports, as needed. </li><li>Must be able to read and use prints, diagrams, and schematics. </li><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and manuals </li><li>Competent in the routine use of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related hand tools, machines and test devices. </li><li>Must have mathematical aptitude and the ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and architectural blueprints and schematics. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a Maintenance, Technical, or Trades-related field preferred, but not required. </li><li>3-5 years of Maintenance or Facilities-related experience required. </li></ul>
