<p>Nurse Manager</p> <p>This position is responsible for providing management and oversight of daily Nursing activities in Preop, PACU and Phase 2 recovery. The Nurse Manager works in partnership with Administration and other facility management and departments to ensure the provision of optimal patient care, patient engagement, attainment of financial goals, and development of leaders.</p> <p>Leadership:</p> <p>Responsible for clinical nursing practice in Same Day Surgery departments. Involved in strategic planning processes, day-to-day operations, standards of care, and progress toward key performance indicators. Collaborates with and shares accountability with the OR Manager in a Co-Director of Nursing role.</p> <p>Operational Effectiveness:</p> <p>Collaborates with Administrator on financial goals and ensures staffing models are consistent with operational strategy.</p> <p>Employee Engagement:</p> <p>Models professionalism in all interactions with employees and fosters an environment of individual accountability and inclusion. Responsible for recruitment, retention, and employee satisfaction. Collaborates with Educator to provide orientation and training for new hires, as well as ongoing training and learning opportunities for all staff. Mentors staff and leads out in all key strategies.</p> <p>Clinical Excellence:</p> <p>Responsible for department performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives, federal, state and other regulatory bodies such as OSHA, CMS, DOPL, and other department specific accrediting and certifying bodies. Facilitates use of resources by nursing staff such as charge nurses, expanded role RNs, and other specialty roles.</p> <p>Patient Engagement:</p> <p>Monitors and improves patient satisfaction by utilizing metrics and national benchmarks to develop and implement action plans to achieve performance targets. Ensures that staff incorporates evidence-based practice into all aspects of care delivery.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
