All City hiring decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Human Services Division Director, the Program Manager is responsible for administering programs within the City's harm reduction/rescue, treatment, and recovery strategic priorities, including, but not limited to, PAIRED, mobile outreach, Safe Stations, and Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution. The Program Manager is responsible for developing program reports, meetings, partner engagement, compliance with funder requirements, and coordinating all program activities with the Department of Housing & Human Services (HHS) efforts. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with HHS staff, public safety, and other project partners. This is a 35-hour per week full-time position. This position is contingent on grant funding.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Organize and coordinate program activities, completion of deliverables, and all reporting requirements for assigned grants and contracts. </li><li>Monitor program and fiscal management of grants and contracts to assure compliance with federal, state, and city regulations and proposed project activities. </li><li>Administer applicable Mayor's Coalition on Behavioral subcommittees, including but not limited to engaging representatives from key community sectors and coordinating meetings. </li><li>Use implementation frameworks to develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral health and substance use programming. </li><li>Mobilize and coordinate environmental strategies, events, and capacity-building activities. </li><li>Organize community trainings, meetings, and presentations. </li><li>Maintain collaborations and partnerships with community-based organizations, various city departments, and other partners </li><li>Integrate project work with other departments and city-led initiatives and priorities. </li><li>Travel to meetings and trainings, as needed. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in development and management of community-serving health programs, or equivalent education and experience. </li><li>Professional and/or lived experience with the continuum of behavioral health and substance use care. </li><li>Experience with evidence-based program implementation and demonstrated knowledge of implementation frameworks. </li><li>Experience in program direction involving multiple partners. </li><li>Demonstrated familiarity with federal and state grant requirements. </li><li>Commitment to health equity and public health; desire to improve public health systems. </li><li>Familiarity with Providence's diverse communities and neighborhoods and the social determinants of health that impact them. </li><li>Acute cross-cultural awareness, with a demonstrated ability to center equity in communications. </li><li>Initiative to launch and complete long-term projects. </li><li>Attention to administrative detail and follow-through. </li><li>Ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables in short time frames, and to carefully work on numerous aspects of programs in a given week. </li><li>Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking. </li><li>Ability to work well with others and be a highly flexible and collaborative team player. </li><li>Ability to lead and work well with a diverse array of community-based and youth partners. </li><li>Ability to carefully monitor quality and work closely with partners on performance improvement if necessary. </li><li>Ability to maintain accurate and complete files, records, and databases. </li><li>Intermediate level Microsoft Office proficiency: ability to embrace new technologies, data management, and online platforms. </li><li>Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required. </li><li>Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by substantial communities in Providence a strong plus. </li></ul> <p>Posting expires when position is filled.</p> <p>APPLY NOW</p>
