<p>We Offer You!</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Salary </li><li>Excellent Bonus Potential </li><li>Medical, Dental & Vision Plans </li><li>Paid Time Off, Training & Holidays </li><li>Charitable Contribution Match Program </li><li>Tuition Assistance </li><li>Wellness/Fitness Resources </li><li>Training & Professional Development </li><li>401K Match w/ 2-year Vesting Period </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li><li>Dynamic Culture & People - just to name a few! </li></ul> <p>What's attractive about the Accounting Manager position?</p> <ul> <li>Ongoing interaction with multiple levels of the organization </li><li>Collaborative and Team-Oriented environment </li></ul> <p>What Success Looks Like:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for preparation of monthly close activities including journal entries and reconciliations of topics, including stock-based compensation, payroll, certain accruals, and other general accounting areas. </li><li>Analyze, interpret, compare, and explain variances associated with any accounting period as required by users of financial reports (includes trend reports). </li><li>Work with staff accountant to manage the accounts payable process at the Corporate office, including review of invoices for appropriate approvals, account coding, payment processing, sales tax returns and 1099 filings. </li><li>Perform preliminary reviews of lease accounting calculations completed in Visual Lease. </li><li>Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for internal and external audits and filings with governmental agencies. </li><li>Assist with various taxing authority returns and special projects as required. </li><li>Ensure Corporate accounting activities are performed in compliance with internal controls. </li><li>Assist the SEC Reporting Manager with various reporting needs and special projects, including various SEC filings; </li><li>Foster teamwork within the Accounting/Finance group and among various Corporate departments </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or related </li><li>3 years of work experience in accounting, including at least 2 years of general ledger experience </li><li>Public accounting and/or Public Company experience is a plus. </li><li>Manufacturing experience is a plus. </li><li>Certified Public Accountant or working toward certification. </li><li>Advanced Excel skills/knowledge of spreadsheets, and ability to manage data. </li><li>Ability to foster and build productive working relationships with team members and divisional personnel. </li><li>Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Solid understanding of financial statements, internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and change focus as new information becomes available. </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 with bonus potential.</p> <p>About Quanex, A Part of Something Bigger</p> <p>Quanex (NYSE: NX) is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.
