If you excel in analytical skills and thrive on making a difference, apply now to impact safety and sustainability!</p> <p>About the Position</p> <p>The Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist - Company Owned Outlets (COO) is a key contributor in the implementation/monitoring of processes that maintain environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance, mature management systems, and drive functional excellence among Retail stores. Working under the direction of Retail and Regional EHS leadership, this position is responsible for collecting, trending, and using relevant data to facilitate continuous improvement activities, performing workplace audits and inspections, and providing expertise relating to EHS regulations, environmental reporting, incident investigation, and risk assessment.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities #LI-AV1</p> <ul> <li>Monitor incident reports to ensure accuracy of data, determine that the correct root cause has been identified, and track the completion of corrective actions. </li><li>Travel to Retail locations to monitor compliance, assist location personnel with EHS improvements, and strengthen the EHS management system. </li><li>Educate associates on safety protocols, emergency preparedness and Retail Life Saving Practices. Track effectiveness and completion of EHS training and lead new associate EHS safety orientation (as required). </li><li>Serve as a resource for local leadership, providing guidance and support on EHS matters. </li><li>Monitor environmental reporting requirements for sites across different states and regions. Prepare and submit all relevant environmental reports to state and federal agencies. </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field. </li><li>Prior experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting health and safety data to develop related policies/programs. </li><li>Graduate Safety Professional (GSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certifications - Desired. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Masters degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field. </li><li>Strong knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to influence and sell ideas. </li><li>Excellent organization skills. </li><li>Proficient in Excel. </li></ul> <p>About The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company</p> <p>Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
