We are an equal opportunity employer; no information obtained during the recruitment/selection process is intended for any discriminatory purposes.</p> <p>Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule</p> <p>Grade: 112</p> <p>Salary: $16.33 Hourly</p> <p>Department: Street Operations</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work schedule, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. May be asked to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <ul> <li>Qualifications have changed as of January 9, 2018 * </li><li>Filling Multiple Vacancies * </li></ul> <p>Overview</p> <p>Perform daily asphalt street maintenance and repair, operate various street maintenance equipment in an effort to meet the yearly goal of pavement maintenance and repair for the City.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate various street construction/maintenance equipment and various other equipment in the process of repairing and maintaining streets. </li><li>Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment such as; checking fluid levels, greasing unit, doing daily trip inspections and reporting any defects or repairs as needed. </li><li>Perform labor type duties as needed to assist crew with job tasks such as; sweeping, shoveling and raking hot mix, traffic control duties, etc. </li><li>Required to perform upkeep on the Street Operation yard by mowing grass, weed eating, and sweeping curbs and gutters. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>No education required </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of operator experience </li><li>A valid Class B CDL is required </li><li>Air brake endorsement required within 3 months of hire </li><li>Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred </li><li>Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas Class B commercial driver's license within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
