The individual serving in this position will act as the patient care and diagnostic technician for the department, providing internal customer service, technical assistance, data collection, and patient care. The position also requires cross training in phlebotomy (training provided) to assist</p> <p>laboratory in high demand times.</p> <p>Primary job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Interact with internal staff, patients, and referring providers through e-mail, phone, and personal communications. </li><li>Keep equipment clean and in working order. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining equipment and quality control. </li><li>Attend scheduled meetings, drills and training. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li><li>Perform technical procedures including patient positioning for radiographs and digital image capturing. </li><li>Provide excellent patient care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. </li><li>Provide quick and accurate information regarding each patient, acting as a liaison between clinicians and radiologists. </li><li>Be proficient in entering data into the electronic health record. </li><li>Maintain a clean working environment to ensure Infectious Diseases standards are followed and infection is not spread. </li><li>Handle medical/biological and infectious waste appropriately. </li><li>Follow all radiation safety, OSHA, and Environmental Health and Safety standards. </li></ul> <p>Key Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Electronic Health Records software </li><li>Skilled in the use of radiology equipment and in the performance of procedures </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in fire and emergency preparedness drills. </li><li>Must report to work during Adverse Weather and related scenarios and for public health emergencies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Experience/Education</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in medical diagnostics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.</p> <p>Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of the basic pathophysiological process being monitored and how radiologic science is applied. </li><li>Ability to work independently and practice good judgement to ensure high quality care. </li><li>Ability to perform specialized orthopedic procedures such as weight bearing lower extremities. </li><li>Ability to perform or learn phlebotomy for high volume days. </li></ul> <p>Required License or Certification</p> <ul> <li>ARRT certification </li><li>CPR certification </li></ul> <p>Valid NC Driver's License required No Commercial Driver's License Required?
