<p>Load Planner (Temp to Hire)</p> <p>Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)</p> <p>Pay: $25-32/hour (depending on experience)</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard business hours</p> <p>Employment Type: Temp to Hire</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Load Planner to join a fast?paced transportation and logistics operation in Chicago. This temp to hire role is responsible for planning and optimizing freight loads to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and on-time deliveries while supporting daily transportation operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan and build efficient loads to maximize trailer capacity and minimize transportation costs</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate daily shipment schedules based on volume, delivery requirements, and equipment availability</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with transportation, dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams to execute load plans</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related systems to create, adjust, and track loads</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor shipment execution and proactively address service issues or changes</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with weight limits, routing requirements, and customer expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate load documentation and support reporting as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior experience as a Load Planner, Transportation Planner, or similar logistics role</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of freight optimization, routing, and capacity planning</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with TMS and transportation-related systems</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting tools preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour</p> <p>Search managed by: Marissa Osorio</p> <p>Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
