<p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Electrical Engineer for our South Jordan, UT office location.</p> <p>This role will be responsible for the development of new clients and projects in the Healthcare sector and leading project teams to deliver those projects and grow those client relationships. We are looking to expand our sector footprint and need an experienced and connected individual who is driven to make and develop client relationships. Initially we foreseen a even balance of business development time and project related time for this position, with that evolving over time to be closer to 25% business development and 75% project workload.</p> <p>We are a global leader in the practice of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering and related specialty services for the built environment. Come join us and help shape the future!</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Manage client relationships and provide key technical input on pursuit efforts. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li><li>Coordinate, review and approve electrical design plans, ensuring data integrity and work is compliant with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations. </li><li>Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques and processes to identify improvements for various project phases including concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, construction, and operation. </li><li>Plan and incorporate future-ready techniques, concept development, operating strategies, and various design requirements that account for the safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure. </li><li>Involved from project inception to completion in the management of design and construction of electrical systems. </li><li>Working with clients to ensure deliverables are met on time. </li><li>Driving new business through building sustainable relationships with our clients. </li><li>Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams of engineers to execute project work on mid-level and/or multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking hours and expenses, task completion, technical calculations, construction, compliance documentation, and regulatory and technical analysis memos. </li><li>Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, sketches, calculations, cross-sections, and other illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of more complex data, findings, or analyses. </li><li>Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, concepts, and recommendations to address design, and/or construction issues or opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering </li><li>12+ years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer. </li><li>Professional Engineering license required. </li><li>Previous Healthcare consulting experience. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of electrical design, particularly in the Healthcare industry. </li><li>Known in the local community with an extensive network. </li><li>Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues. </li><li>Experience with electrical planning, design, and construction management; including active involvement in a variety of renovation, new design, and construction projects. </li><li>Well-defined specific knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. </li><li>Well-developed ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of electrical engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations. </li><li>Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently. </li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. </li><li>Experience in mentorship of less experienced staff to grow their knowledge, skills, and professionalism. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>LEED AP Certification </li><li>12+ years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer. </li><li>At least 10+ years of Project Management experience. </li><li>Experience in Quality Assurance reviews and maintaining a high level of quality deliverables to clients. </li></ul> <p>WSP Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.</p> <p>#LI-JM1</p>
