Grounded in tradition, the school remains ever open to innovation, looking to the best research on the science of learning and the craft of teaching to advance the timeless values and aspirations of our mission.</p> <p>About the Position</p> <p>Grace Church School seeks an engaging drama teacher, who loves teaching middle school students. The ideal candidate will engage students in the basics of theatre games and techniques, fostering their joy in creative expression; is committed to addressing social justice, diversity, equity, and anti-bias education; will bring tools and strategies for differentiating instruction; will communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues; and will value professional growth.</p> <ul> <li>Teaching load would include teaching sections of fifth and sixth grade drama. </li><li>Selecting, directing, and managing all aspects of production for the Middle School Play, from casting through tech and performances. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and teaching experience are required, master's degree or beyond is preferred.</p> <p>We work in a team-based structure with a high level of communication and collegiality. Active participation in a faculty culture of continuous learning, professional development, and intellectual growth is expected and supported. Opportunities are available to coach, direct, and lead activities in the extracurricular program, in which all students are encouraged to participate.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>This is a part-time interim faculty position with an expected compensation of $10,200-$31,000 commensurate with education and experience on the faculty salary scale.</p> <p>Grace Church School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
