In this role, you will be a servant leader impacting the development of craftsmen by providing coaching to ensure adherence to preferred maintenance practices to maximize efficiency and safety.</p> <p>This position is located at the Plymouth, IN Food Service Corrugated Packaging facility.</p> <p>How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock</p> <ul> <li>Assist and provide direction to craftsmen of troubleshooting equipment to mitigate downtime </li><li>Monitor and approve inventory orders to control storeroom spend according to planned budget </li><li>Ensure compliance and proper use of parts and equipment according to preferred maintenance practices </li><li>Oversee craftsmen's compliance with corporate, division, plant safety and environmental rules and procedures </li><li>Lead development and implementation of continuous process improvement of reliability plans in the plant </li><li>Demonstrate ownership of business and management goals by effectively leading craftsmen to align objectives </li><li>Lead safety efforts by identifying high-risk situations, conducting safety meetings, and coordinating maintenance related safety activities </li><li>Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees </li><li>Collaborate with operations and mechanical leaders to plan, schedule and execute daily and break-in work and to increase measured reliability metrics </li></ul> <p>What You Need To Succeed</p> <ul> <li>2-year technical degree in a Maintenance related discipline or related work experience - Required. </li><li>3+ years of maintenance supervisory leadership experience within the packaging industry - Required. </li><li>3+ years of Mechanical or Electrical maintenance experience - Required. </li><li>Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes) </li><li>Safety mindset with thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures </li><li>Initiative to solve problems and take independent action. </li><li>Great communication with the ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization </li><li>Able to exhibit a 'can-do' approach and inspire others to excel </li><li>Must be organized with great time management to manage multiple priorities </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence. </li><li>Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities. </li><li>An attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies, and potential. </li><li>Generous benefits including 401 K Matching, Medical, Dental, Vision all starting day one, Tuition Reimbursement, and Wellness program. </li><li>A career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work. </li></ul> <p>Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.</p> <p>Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.</p>
