<p>Current Employees: If you are currently employed at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.</p> <p>Position Title:</p> <p>Project Manager - Facilities Planning and Management</p> <p>Job Category:</p> <p>Academic Staff</p> <p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Job Profile:</p> <p>Project Manager I</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>Attention:</p> <p>The Department of Facilities Planning and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Project Manager (Project Manager I, AD015).</p> <p>Job Details:</p> <p>The Facilities Project Manager I, will be responsible for managing campus projects, including the review and implementation process of all incoming facilities project requests. Working closely with the Campus Planning Team, other campus leaders and external vendors, the Project Manager, I will ensure all project requests meet UW-Whitewater's strategic goals and are aligned with campus initiatives. In addition, the Facilities Project Manager I will be responsible for the project planning, execution, and budgeting. This will include facilitating meetings and communications with all stakeholders, instructional staff, Information Technology Services, and campus leaders to ensure the successful completion of all approved projects.</p> <p>Key Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>Manage DOA Small Projects</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serve as a project manager for facilities projects, providing oversight and management of approved facilities projects</p> </li><li> <p>Manage relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external customers. Consult customers to analyze their facility needs and identify acceptable solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Primary focus of responsibility will be DOA small projects ($600k or less)</p> </li></ul> <p>Manage Campus CADD Records, and Drawing Files</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintains all campus master CADD documents and records used across campus related to current and previous physical facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the utilization of CADD to update evacuation and other signage provided within facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and maintains CADD standard office models</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains CADD and engineering software contracts and licensing</p> </li><li> <p>Update campus CADD files to reflect campus and state projects, keeping campus drawing files up to date</p> </li><li> <p>Manage sign projects that require contracted vendor</p> </li></ul> <p>Serves as a Campus Liaison for the In-House DOA-managed projects</p> <ul> <li> <p>Consult with the project management team to provide information, project timeliness, budgets, communication, and document responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Define and communicate overall plans, budgets, responsibilities and timelines for all campus facilities projects</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the identification of problem areas in current instructional facilities and facilitate the ongoing process of selecting, scoping and defining campus projects</p> </li><li> <p>Provide directions on daily activities. Access and mediate arising challenges, escalating as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely reporting to managers, directors, teams, campus leaders, or regulatory bodies as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate process by managing project budgets and collaborating with colleagues to estimate and prioritize project requests</p> </li><li> <p>Lead assigned projects with coordination across functional areas and with ultimate delivery, communication, and documentation responsibility</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely reporting to managers, directors, teams, campus leaders or regulatory bodies as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Track project expenses and budgets</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure project records are appropriately archived</p> </li><li> <p>Continually monitor and evaluate project status, assessing overall effectiveness of the project utilizing best practices</p> </li><li> <p>Keep abreast of campus strategies, standards, and operations</p> </li></ul> <p>Serves as a Campus Liaison for State-funded Projects</p> <ul> <li>Work with Campus Planning Team on larger state projects as needed. Assist in the coordination of signage, staff relocations, equipment, and furniture purchases </li></ul> <p>Facilities Management General Operations</p> <ul> <li>Work with the Director of Facilities and Trades Superintendent on special projects which serve the campus community as assigned </li></ul> <p>Department:</p> <p>Facilities Planning and Management</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $66,000 - $70,000.</p> <p>UW System employees receive an excellent benefit package.
