<p>Carpentry Aid <em>Non-Union, Individual Employment Agreement</em></p> <p>Start Date: 2025-26 SY</p> <p>Schedule: To be negotiated iwth the Superintednent-Director</p> <p>Pay Rate: To Be Negotiated</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Preferred</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>The carpentry Aide within the carpentry shop must have the following certifications and professional carpentry experience and knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Strong oral and written professional communication skills amongst lead teacher, peers and administration </li><li>High level of professionalism representing that of a role model and knowledgeable carpentry professional </li><li>High ability to collaborate with lead teacher and peers in both job site planning and implementation </li><li>Strong ability to maintain professional, high expectation based relationships with all carpentry students </li><li>Ability to obtain a 7D license </li><li>OSHA 10 certification </li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience working within the carpentry trade and knowledge of the following areas: blueprint reading, framing, window and door installation, variety of exterior finish work and interior finish work, job site safety, building codes, various building materials and mechanical fasteners, safe erection and operation of scaffold, pump jack staging, ladders and fall protection, and safe use of various power tools. </li><li>Strong ability to support students reading and understanding a set of house plans/blueprints </li><li>Strong ability to support students on a job site working through their given tasks after given instructions. </li><li>Ability to follow, reiterate and implement, and supervise students on the jobsite and report all jobsite safety concerns and hazards to the lead teacher immediately. </li></ul>
