As a BAS Director, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Detailed Reviewer of Tax Closings, Closing of Books, and tax preparation </li><li>Field client questions and inquiries on all compliance matters such as income tax, franchise tax, sales/use tax, labor, benefits, etc. </li><li>Intermediate tax and accounting research necessary to ensure accurate accounting and tax reporting. Developing budgets and pricing, select staff and assign workloads, and prepare reports </li><li>Provide a sense of direction and purpose for staff members, while earning the trust of coworkers and client management </li><li>Oversee, Supervise, and Manage Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, preparation, review and wrap-up </li><li>Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel </li><li>Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountants </li><li>Assess performance of staff and provide appropriate feedback </li><li>Contribute to the growth of the firm through business development </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required in Accounting </li><li>CPA required </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience gained within a public accounting firm required, including 4+ years of managerial experience </li><li>Tax knowledge required </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Must be able to supervise staff at all levels </li><li>Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills </li><li>Ability to work independently, but also work well with others </li><li>Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications </li></ul>
