<p>Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Lead design and development projects, conduct thorough analysis and documentation of existing electronic systems, and address design flaws or discrepancies discovered during analysis and testing. You will develop comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, circuit diagrams, and component selection, while effectively communicating design concepts, technical challenges, and project updates to stakeholders.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead design and development projects. </li><li>Conduct thorough analysis and documentation of existing electronic systems. </li><li>Identify and address design flaws or discrepancies discovered during analysis and testing. </li><li>Develop comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, circuit diagrams, and component selection. </li><li>Effectively communicate design concepts, technical challenges, and project updates to stakeholders. </li><li>Lead and develop junior engineers. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. </li><li>At least 4 years of experience as an electrical engineer or in a similar role. </li><li>Expertise in circuit design, including analog circuit building blocks such as amplifiers, filters, comparators, and voltage references. </li><li>Proficiency in analog signal processing techniques, including filtering, amplification, and signal conditioning. </li><li>Experience in power management, designing power converters, voltage regulators, and ensuring power integrity. </li><li>Familiarity with PCB CAD software such as Altium, Kicad, etc. </li><li>Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a DoD Secret security clearance; an active DoD Interim Secret clearance or higher is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in using analog circuit simulation tools like SPICE. </li><li>Hands-on experience with prototyping, including building and testing analog circuits on breadboards or PCB prototypes. </li><li>Strong debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in analog circuits using measurement equipment. </li><li>Formal or practical training in hand soldering wires, connectors, protoboards, and PCBs. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is primarily onsite with hybrid flexibility depending on business needs. You will work within an onsite office environment, with occasional work on base at NUWC. The role supports flexible schedules, offering options such as 9/80, 4/10, or 5/8.
